Job summary

Palomar Heights Post Acute is seeking a dependable maintenance worker to keep the grounds, facility, and equipment in safe, efficient condition in line with regulations and our policies.

You will follow schedules, report incidents, coordinate with nursing staff during routine tasks, and perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and more, while protecting resident privacy.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th grade education.
• Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the public.
• Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment; keep work areas neat.
• Ability to adopt new maintenance methods and principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient condition.
• Report all accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing staff during routine tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance on facility systems (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical).
• Follow safety precautions and protect resident information.
