Job summary

Palomar Heights Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform routine upkeep of grounds, facility, and equipment. The role ensures compliance with safety standards and coordinates with nursing services for routine tasks in resident areas.

Responsibilities include following maintenance schedules, reporting incidents, performing repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems, and maintaining confidentiality of resident information while supporting team operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education required.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Strong mathematical and reasoning abilities.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, staff, visitors, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Follow maintenance schedules for respective shift or area.
• Report all accidents/incidents to supervisor.
• Coordinate daily maintenance with nursing services when working in resident areas.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, and facilities.
• Repair plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks as directed.
• Clean windows, replace bulbs, and service lighting and HVAC units.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report disclosures.
• Attend departmental meetings and follow daily work assignments.
