Job summary

Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling in Downey, CA is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems. The role is full-time, night shift Tuesday–Saturday, 9:00pm–5:30am, with a pay rate of $40.74 per hour and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, vacation, and a union.

Experience with mechanical maintenance is preferred, with a high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 0–2 years related experience.
• Electrical or vocational certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, including disassembly, reassembly, and calibration.
• Lay out, install, overhaul, and maintain machines with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and inspect parts for defects in the warehouse.
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken parts, fabricate new parts, manage boiler blow downs, and record readings of critical parameters.
• Record repairs, maintenance, parts used, and order new parts and materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to include disassembly, reassembly, and calibration
• Administer a wide variety of methods, procedures, and techniques to lay out, install, overhaul and maintain various types of machines encompassing mechanical and electrical systems
• Clean and lubricate equipment and machinery and adjust and examine parts for defects in the warehouse
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, handle boiler blow downs, and record readings of critical operating parameters as the technician
• Records repairs, maintenance, parts, materials used, and orders or requisitions new parts and materials
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 0 to 2 years of related experience

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Electrical Certification or Vocational Certification
