Job summary

City of Cuyahoga Falls seeks a skilled custodian/maintenance worker to perform custodial care and repairs in City buildings. The role requires preventive maintenance, equipment inspection, and safe operation of tools under supervision.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED and several years of experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or related trades. A valid Ohio driver’s license is required, and the City offers a solid benefits package including OPERS pension.

Qualifications

• Graduation from High School or GED equivalent with four years of related maintenance experience.
• Experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, general building maintenance, and mechanical repairs preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial care and maintenance of City buildings under supervision and guidance.
• Change light bulbs, clean floors, restrooms, windows, and related surfaces.
• Inspect and maintain custodial equipment and small tools for proper operation.
• Open/close facilities, report safety hazards, and keep work records.
• Represent the City with a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, ethics, and trust.
