Job summary

Mariner Healthcare seeks a Facility Maintenance Technician to help keep the facility safe, clean, and comfortable for residents, staff, and visitors. You will diagnose and repair mechanical issues, perform scheduled maintenance, and support grounds upkeep.

Responsibilities include maintaining the emergency power system, testing life support related equipment, and ensuring all essential plant equipment operates safely.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional environment.
• Basic wood carpentry skills.
• Construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses technical and mechanical problems and makes repairs as appropriate.
• Maintains and tests the emergency power system to ensure availability of power to all entrances, exits, fire detection alarms and extinguishing equipment, and life support systems.
• Maintains all essential equipment in a safe operating condition.
• Conducts scheduled maintenance throughout physical plant and for all equipment.
• Responsible for maintenance and beautification of facility and grounds.
