Lake Surgical Hospital Slidell, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the hospital environment safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks across building systems, equipment, and utilities, working closely with the Facilities Manager to support daily operations and projects.

The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety know-how, with on-call rotations including evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.
  • Experience with HVAC systems, pumps, motors, and related equipment preferred.
  • Basic carpentry and repair skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Performing general maintenance and repairs on the building, grounds, and facility equipment to ensure everything remains in proper working order.
  • Troubleshooting issues, identifying problems, and resolving them efficiently.
  • Operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, including pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and fire protection systems.
  • Responding to and monitoring work orders in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with construction, renovation, and remodeling projects as needed.
  • Inspecting building systems and utilities to determine the need for repairs or improvements.
  • Maintaining facility grounds and assisting with moving materials and equipment.
  • Reporting hazardous conditions, equipment issues, and safety concerns immediately to leadership.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation schedule, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

As a Maintenance Technician at our facility, you will play a critical role in ensuring the hospital environment remains safe, functional, and well-maintained.
