Job summary

Cardinal Group Companies in Baton Rouge is seeking a Maintenance Team Member (Full-Time, non-exempt) to protect and enhance community value and residents’ living experience. The role focuses on timely maintenance responses and reliable facility care.

The position requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience, strong customer service, and the ability to lift 75 lbs. Weekend work and on-call shifts are expected, with EPA/pool knowledge and safety compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Must have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and basic maintenance skills.
• Working knowledge of pool service and maintenance required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. and work 8-12 hour standing shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and be available for on call emergencies.
• Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal Core Values every day.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the facility and grounds based on community objectives.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs facility equipment per safety programs and policies.
• Responds to work orders in a timely manner, including after hours on-call maintenance requests.
• Assists with inspection of public areas and resident apartments to ensure standards.
• Complies with EPA regulations for air conditioning/refrigeration equipment and refrigerants.
• Follows health department and city/federal procedures for pools/spas and keeps water clean.
• Keeps storage areas, tools, and equipment secure.
• Participates in Cardinal U training as required.
