Job summary

SIMON-KUCHER & PARTNERS STRATEGY & MARKETING CONSULTANTS LLC in Austin, TX seeks a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems across the facility.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, painting, lighting, and minor repairs; ensure safety compliance and proper records. Candidate should read plans, work independently, lift up to 50 pounds, and possess a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2-3 years building maintenance experience including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings; convey information clearly to management, tenants, and contacts.
• Ability to apply common sense and follow written/oral instructions; define problems and gather facts.
• Paint, electrical, plumbing, and drywall skills.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Capable of diagnosing equipment problems.
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems.
• Knowledge of safety rules and hazard prevention.
• Basic knowledge of fire protection hydraulic systems and fire alarm systems.
• Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Routinely inspects facility; troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems and related structural elements.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on interior and exterior areas, including painting, drywall, and lighting.
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness of property.
• Assist other departments for events and leasing with carts placement and repair.
• Follow OSHA and safety guidelines to promote a safe work environment.
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance per management instruction.
• Maintain inventory, records, MSDS, supplies, equipment and tools.
• Inspect air handling units, belts, filters, and grease components; document activity.
• Perform exterior custodial duties as needed and manage waste/recycling.
• Other maintenance duties as assigned.
