Job summary

The State of Colorado is seeking a full-time Building Maintenance Technician for the North District, Division of Facilities Management. This in-person role covers maintenance across multiple Colorado facilities, handling HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs to ensure safe, functional campuses.

Applicants must have four years of building maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Four years of building maintenance experience including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, or grounds maintenance.
• Ability to attach proof of related education and/or apprenticeship to the job application.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance: wall repair, flooring, painting, and related tasks.
• Inspect and repair mechanical rooms, fences, locks, doors, FRP, and minor roofing.
• Conduct HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform plumbing and electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs as directed.
• Maintain records using Maximo work orders, tracking labor, and monthly status reports.
• Monitor expenses and provide cost estimates for maintenance and repairs.
