Job summary

Developmental-Services, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Technician to perform repairs, upkeep, and renovations across agency properties, ensuring safe, compliant environments for program activities.

The role involves drywall, painting, flooring, basic electrical work, carpentry, and space development, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed. Strong communication and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent and professional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to perform budgeting calculation and comparisons.
• Knowledge of facility renovation, remodeling, and construction practices (drywall, flooring, painting, finishing).
• Must possess critical thinking skills.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Comply with ethical standards of DSI and governing bodies.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain internal/external repairs and maintenance of agency properties.
• Assist in maintaining security, fire alarm, sprinkler and telephone systems.
• Assist in general repairs, plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical work.
• Purchase supplies for property repairs as required.
• Support facility renovation, remodeling, and space development projects.
• Drywall installation/repair, painting, flooring, finishing, and carpentry work.
• Contribute to construction and modification of various spaces.
