Job summary

Vibrant Community Management is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform routine maintenance across housing projects serving low-income families and seniors. Responsibilities include plumbing, painting, electrical basics, and general upkeep to ensure safe, comfortable living environments.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple worksite locations.
• Basic plumbing knowledge including toilets, faucets and minor pipe repair.
• Basic painting knowledge including prep, sanding and color matching.
• Ability to follow English and/or Spanish instructions and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and manage work orders efficiently; perform light plumbing and irrigation tasks.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces; perform carpentry such as door fitting and shelf building.
• Assist in custodial work and grounds maintenance; manage trash, windows and cleaning duties.
• Identify issues and communicate needs to Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager.
• Maintain professional relations with residents and adhere to Equal Housing Opportunity requirements.
• Rotate on-call emergencies; know water/ gas cutoffs and building diagrams.
