Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks across the community grounds and buildings. You will handle repairs, routine upkeep, and make-ready tasks to prepare apartments for new residents.

The role requires at least one year of maintenance experience, on-call availability, and solid knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, plus OSHA/life-safety awareness.

Qualifications

• One year maintenance experience.
• Ability to be on call if needed.
• General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
• Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled hours.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned.
• Execute routine maintenance to complete service requests for repair and upkeep of grounds, buildings, apartments, equipment, and vehicles.
• Repair walls/floors, furniture, fixtures; basic plumbing/electrical repairs; appliance repair; painting and refurbishing; HVAC/refrigeration basics; carpet and hard surface maintenance; make-ready rooms.
