Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Property Service Facilities Technician to support the Facilities department in inspecting, repairing, installing, modifying, and maintaining building systems and equipment. The role includes basic repairs, painting, landscaping, and custodial tasks to keep the site healthy, safe, and sanitary.

This experienced-level position reports to the Facilities Supervisor and requires self-direction, honesty, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as a Facilities Technician or similar.
• Must have own basic repair tools.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand Standard English for receiving instructions, relaying job-related information and reading chemical labels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance and safe working conditions of the facility and surrounding areas.
• Utilize tools and materials used in Facilities Maintenance.
• Move furniture within the facility.
• Painting throughout the facility. Walls, Floors, signs, etc.
• Repairs to the facility.
• Landscaping and snow/ ice removal
• Helps Maintain locks and update locks for the facility.
• Assists with stripping and waxing floors and other tasks as needed.
• Reports needed maintenance repairs to the Supervisor.
• Ensures facility equipment and supplies are stored in a safe and orderly manner.
• Assumes responsibility for elated duties as assigned.
