Job summary

Kids for the Future in Brookshire, TX seeks a Facility Technician to maintain and operate building facilities and equipment, supporting factory and office operations. You will help with capital projects and maintenance, ensuring efficiency and reliability of support systems.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC related tasks, reading blueprints, using diagnostic tools, and collaborating with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of hands-on facility or industrial maintenance.
• At least 1 year operating forklifts in a warehouse, manufacturing, or facility.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles related to facility maintenance.
• English language proficiency and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair of facility infrastructure, offices, and manufacturing support areas.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair and replace lighting systems including LED fixtures.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on facility equipment.
• Inspect, maintain and repair plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Maintain water filtration and treatment equipment for reliability and quality.
• Perform minor carpentry and relocate office/furniture as needed.
• Read and interpret drawings, manuals, and procedures to support repairs.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment for maintenance tasks.
• Document maintenance activities and keep logs up to date.
• Follow safety policies and LOTO procedures; support lean and 5S initiatives.
