Job summary

ESFM seeks a Senior Electrician/Maintenance Technician to perform operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical distribution components and related equipment on site. The role emphasizes safe, efficient work and support of the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, estimating materials, troubleshooting, and coordinating with teams. Qualified candidates will have a Journeyman license, NEC knowledge, and 5 years of institutional maintenance experience.

Qualifications

5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting.
Working knowledge of NEC and electrical codes.
Journeyman Electrical License.
Experience reading blueprints and estimating materials.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

Update work statuses in the CMMS using a mobile device.
Read blueprints and diagrams, estimate time and materials, and request supplies.
Construct, finish, install, maintain and repair electrical systems and related facilities.
Pends and installs EMT, rigid, plastic-bond and steatite conduit.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and locate cables.
Assist in determining manpower, material needs, and deadlines.
Respond to emergency problems and perform repairs as needed.
Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete tests and inspections.
Make recommendations for preventive maintenance improvements.
