Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in the Philadelphia area to perform non-technical general building maintenance and minor repairs.

The role includes custodial duties, small-scale repairs, painting, and basic operations of building systems. A high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of related experience are preferred, with opportunities for overtime and stand-by shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Participation in apprentice program or trade school is preferred.
• 1+ year of related experience in a commercial property setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance under close supervision.
• Perform custodial duties, grounds, maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Move materials and run errands for projects as assigned by engineers.
• Replace door hardware, locks, and keys.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces; match paint type and prep surfaces.
• Replace light bulbs/lamps/ballasts and clean fixtures.
• Move furniture and set up modular systems.
• Vacancy clean up and organization.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and customer service requests.
• Police landscaping, sidewalks, common areas, and parking facilities.
• Perform snow removal/leaf sweeping as needed.
• Follow codes and safe work practices; use building automation systems.
• Complete safety training and wear uniform dress code.
