Job summary

Texas Biomedical Research Institute is seeking a Building Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our Facilities team in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on routine maintenance, electrical repairs, and on-site repairs across building systems, with 24/7 on-call rotation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with technical certification and 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work, and a valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities, and perform on-site repairs or report trouble.
• Make minor repairs in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical.
• Perform electrical work limited to 120–240 volt repairs as per code.
• Scan and log meter readings on control panels and machinery.
• Provide 24/7 on-call emergency service on a rotating basis to ensure system reliability.
