Responsibilities

• Safely apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code to all electrical work.
• Follow written and verbal instruction; learn to safely operate hand tools and shop equipment.
• Safely repair electrical malfunctions in buildings and laboratories.
• Perform conduit bending using manual and electric benders.
• Takeoffs and assist in ordering required materials.
• Maintain good attendance and organize work.
• Support electrical technicians and engineers in developing electrical systems for testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair/replace motors and motor starters, solenoids, breakers, fuses, pumps.
• Be on rotating call-out schedule for emergencies.
