Job summary

Alutiiq Solutions, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support facility operations for the Department of State. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, troubleshooting issues, and documenting activities in Maximo to meet KPIs and AQLs.

The position requires a high school diploma, 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, EPA 608, and the ability to read manuals and drawings; security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and 3–5 years in facilities maintenance.
• EPA 608 Certification.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing or mechanical systems.
• Able to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience using a CMMS, with Maximo preferred.
• Possess or be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) on building systems and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient facility operations.
• Executes work orders in Maximo, ensuring accurate documentation, timely completion, and compliance with contract requirements.
• Troubleshoots equipment failures and performs repairs to restore system functionality and minimize operational disruption.
• Conducts routine inspections of facility systems and identifies deficiencies or potential failures for corrective action.
• Supports minor facility repairs, including carpentry, drywall, and painting, to maintain the overall condition of the built environment.
• Supports critical equipment uptime requirements to ensure continuity of mission operations and adherence to performance standards.
• Follows Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles to optimize asset performance and extend equipment lifecycle.
• Adheres to all safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and Department of State policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Coordinates with Work Control to prioritize, schedule, and execute maintenance activities efficiently.
• Supports emergency response efforts, including after-hours or on-call support, as required to address system failures.
• Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Assist with inventory tracking and materials management to support maintenance operations and cost control.
