Job summary

SpartanNash Military is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs across facilities and equipment in a distribution center. This role requires hands-on skills in electrical, plumbing and carpentry, plus basic software use for record-keeping.

You will inspect, repair, and replace components while ensuring safety, inventory accuracy and regulatory compliance. Weekend/overtime may be required, and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and environmental issues.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document maintenance work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Repair and/or replace distribution center equipment and fixtures as needed.
• Retrieve down equipment and return to shop.
• Assist with facility safety, food safety, and code inspections.
• Ensure timely work with minimal disruption to operations.
• Document work and inventory using maintenance software.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and spare parts lists.
• Support security and safety needs of the facility.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
