Job summary

A one-year maintenance background is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of full-time basic construction and facility maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on city facilities to minimize repairs and ensure safety.
• Assist skilled technicians in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related tasks.
• Repair furniture, install surfaces, and maintain safety systems and door hardware.
• Operate light machinery and tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and paint equipment.
• Follow safety policies and communicate effectively with staff and the public.
