Job summary

Berner Food & Beverage Inc. seeks a skilled facility maintenance technician to operate and maintain steam boilers, water chillers, cooling towers, well pumps, HVAC and other plant utility equipment.

Strong written and verbal communication is essential for data recording and reporting daily results. Ideal candidates have technical maintenance training or 3 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience (boiler/chiller/HVAC training preferred).

Qualifications

• Technical training in a maintenance-related field or three years of industrial equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to learn daily wet chemistry water testing and record data accurately.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to perform mechanical and electrical repairs per manuals/PM instructions.
• Must supply and maintain basic tools.
• Capable of lifting, standing, walking, climbing ladders, and other physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain steam boilers, water chillers, cooling towers, well pumps, HVAC, and other plant utility equipment.
• Record data from daily wet chemistry water testing and ensure accuracy.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to equipment per documentation in manuals or PM work orders.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
• Supply and maintain the appropriate basic tools required.
• Able to lift and perform physical tasks as part of duties.
