Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for the Pinckneyville, IL facility on 2nd shift. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance across building systems, utilities, and manufacturing-support equipment, with emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities include executing work orders, maintaining grounds, interpreting schematics, operating material handling equipment, and supporting capital projects. Overtime and shift differential may apply.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1+ year of facilities and mechanical maintenance experience in heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
1+ year of powered industrial truck or forklift operating experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, grounds, utilities, and related infrastructure.
Complete work orders, document maintenance activities, and support facility-improvement projects.
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and technical documentation.
Operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and related equipment when trained and authorized.
Perform painting, drywall, plumbing, lighting, roofing, flooring, and other building repairs.
Maintain facility grounds and housekeeping; ensure safe, organized work areas.
Support hazardous-waste handling and environmental compliance activities.
Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and procurement of parts.
