Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, OH, is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform skilled repairs on fixtures, furnishings and equipment in guest rooms and public areas, keeping operations at peak performance with minimal guest disruption. Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/resort maintenance is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and building systems.
• Ability to perform repairs with minimal disruption to guests.

Responsibilities

• Repair fixtures, furniture, and equipment in guest rooms and resort/condominium facilities.
• Maintain safe and functional guest areas and back-of-house spaces.
• Lead by example and ensure staff adherence to policies.

Facilities- Maintenance Tech

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Maintenance Tech. In this role, you are responsible for performing skilled repairs to the fixtures, furniture, and equipment in the sleeping rooms of the resort and condominiums and to always maintain the best possible conditions with the least amount of inconvenience to guests and associates.

As part of our team, you’ll embody our Promise toLead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. Your professionalism and helpful attitude will set the tone for a positive overall impression of the Kalahari.

Starting Rate:

$16.00 an hour

Key Responsibilities

• Previous hospitality or related experience helpful.
• Have knowledge of plumbing, building, carpentry, fixtures, and all facility maintenance required.
• Ability to lead by example and ensure that staff is working within company policies.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to be self-motivated, administrative and proactive preventative maintenance skills needed.
• Possess excellent math skills.
• Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations, including ability to handle guest objections and disputes to satisfactory results.
