Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Maintenance Worker to join our team in an institutional, secure setting. The role involves installing, maintaining and repairing the facility's building systems, including plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures, machinery and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of maintenance or construction experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to supervise inmates/residents in the Maintenance Department while

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required.
• Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/repair physical structure of facility in keeping with safe/secure operations.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair machines and equipment.
• Install/repair electrical apparatus of machinery/equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Provide supervision and tracking of inmates/residents assigned to Maintenance Department.
