Job summary

CoreCivic in Denver, CO seeks a Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance, repair and upkeep of facility structures and systems. You will supervise maintenance staff and residents on projects, track work orders and ensure timely completion, while coordinating with other departments as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, at least four years in construction or institutional maintenance, and a valid driver's license, with strong safety and compliance focus.

Qualifications

  • Four years of experience in general construction or plant/institutional maintenance.
  • Experience with maintenance planning and work orders.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes maintenance standards by developing, maintaining and/or following a schedule of periodic preventative maintenance for the equipment at the facility.
  • Assigns work to maintenance worker(s) and participates in hiring, training, and performance evaluations; enforces discipline as necessary.
  • Reviews maintenance work order requests to diagnose problems and recommend repairs.
  • Inspects the facility for safety and compliance and oversees tool inventory and secure storage.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with other departments and plans in-house work for renovations and new construction as applicable.
  • Manages purchases for supplies and maintenance materials in line with purchasing procedures.
  • Monitors safety practices and documents incidents and emergencies.
