Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a capable Facility Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team responsible for building systems and grounds across the general office campus.

You will mentor staff, plan maintenance schedules and allocate tasks to technicians and vendors to ensure reliable operations. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years in building maintenance, strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and safety regulations, and the ability to manage time, communicate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience plus two (2) years' experience in building maintenance
• Experience with/knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC equipment, plumbing, carpentry
• Familiarity with OSHA, building and fire codes and hazardous materials regulations
• Ability to operate power tools used in repair/maintenance activities
• Ability to operate riding lawn mower and snow removal equipment
• Good time management, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Must possess good independent decision making skill
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related software
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, climb ladders and work overhead
• Must possess a valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Select, mentor, develop and motivate a team of employees
• Prepare work schedules and assign repair and maintenance duties
• Oversee and supervise employees and/or vendors engaged in maintenance tasks
• Ensure all tasks completed correctly and in a timely manner
• Ensure employees have appropriate tools, supplies and skills
• Monitor equipment use and maintenance to ensure safety and proper condition
• Prepare time records and performance evaluations
• Ensure inspections for elevators, sprinklers and fire alarm systems are completed on time
• Perform repair and maintenance tasks as needed
• Comply with laws/regulations and company policies
• Perform other duties as required
