Job summary

FedEx Freight, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to supervise a team responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems and grounds across multiple locations, including Windsor Locks, CT and other sites.

The role emphasizes mentoring staff, scheduling work, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least two years in building maintenance, strong knowledge of electrical/HVAC/plumbing

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience plus two years' experience in building maintenance.
Experience with electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry.
Familiarity with OSHA, building and fire codes and hazardous materials regulations.
Ability to operate power tools and equipment used in repair/maintenance.
Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate activities of a team of facility maintenance technicians.
Prepare work schedules and assign repair and maintenance duties.
Oversee maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire systems and elevator inspections.
Ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time and that staff have tools and supplies.
