Job summary

State of Indiana’s INDOT Seymour District is seeking a maintenance supervisor with a CDL (Class A or B) who can manage field units and ensure timely, safe operations across winter maintenance and general district activities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, possess or obtain a CDL within 90 days, and demonstrate knowledge of highway maintenance, safety standards, and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL or obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Specialized knowledge of highway maintenance, bridges, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with INDOT safety policies and procedures.
• Assign work to units to ensure materials and equipment are available.
• Oversee operation and maintenance to meet work orders with minimal interruptions.
• Provide supervision and guidance to employees and ensure program adherence.
• Support winter operations including snow/ice removal and equipment maintenance.
