Job summary

FirstService Residential in Miami, FL seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to manage building upkeep, supervise staff, and oversee preventive maintenance programs. The role requires hands-on skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades, plus strong safety and leadership abilities.

You will plan and assign work, monitor contractor performance, and ensure rapid response to emergencies while maintaining records and accessibility across the property portfolio.

Qualifications

• Must have strong maintenance and repair skills across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
• 3 to 5 years of general experience in building trades or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff through work orders.
• Plans, monitors, and appraises job results; coaches employees.
• Monitors service contractors and building repairs.
• Maintains disaster preparedness and safety procedures.
• On call for emergencies and projects.
• Schedules and assigns work to meet shifts.
• Administrates preventive/reactive maintenance schedule.
• Maintains records of preventive maintenance activities.
• Oversees construction, installation, and maintenance of equipment.
• Trains employees to perform maintenance tasks.
• Ensures safe environment.
