Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at our Adult Rehabilitation Center to oversee daily maintenance operations, supervise staff, and plan schedules. You will evaluate building systems, coordinate repairs, and manage work orders to ensure safe, compliant facilities.

Ideal candidates bring strong analytical and supervisory skills, experience with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and the ability to plan maintenance activities and budgets while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of maintenance experience.
• Extensive knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate or perform maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting systems
• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs
• Initiate and manage work order system to track completion and quality
• Estimate labor, materials, and costs for all work orders
• Keep necessary records including maintenance log, mileage log, and OSHA log
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and compliance requirements
• Supervise and train maintenance workers
• Provide training and mentoring to promote success
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Ensure proper use of PPE including gloves, masks, and back guards
• Assess building systems to plan work assignments
• Create and manage project schedules
• Determine maintenance and repair priorities
• Coordinate with other departments for minimal disruption
• Available for flexible schedule including early/late shifts and some weekends
