Job summary

The Waters of Cheatham is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance operations, ensuring the facility is well-maintained, safe, and comfortable.

Responsibilities include inspecting storage areas, coordinating with outside services, helping establish a preventative maintenance program, and performing carpentry and building repairs within the scope of expertise.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing maintenance functions in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Inspect storage rooms, work rooms, utility/janitorial closets for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys by governmental agencies.
• Ensure outside services are properly completed and supervised per contracts/work orders.
• Assist in establishing a preventative maintenance program.
• Complete carpentry and other building repairs within scope of expertise.
