Job summary

The Waters is seeking a Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance department, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations across the facility. The role requires planning, organizing, and directing activities, with a focus on preventative maintenance and regulatory adherence.

The position also involves supervising staff, coordinating with external service providers, and responding to emergencies. A valid driver's license and supervisory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school education or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a maintenance-related position.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Able to work in varied indoor/outdoor environments, including extreme conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct the maintenance department operations.
• Ensure facility is well-maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
• Staffing and scheduling of maintenance personnel.
• Inspect storage/work areas for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys conducted by government services.
• Supervise outside services per contracts/work orders.
• Assist in establishing a preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure maintenance duties are performed.
• Maintain fire alarm and other safety systems.
• Complete carpentry and general building repairs.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Head snow and ice removal for sidewalks.
• Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies when required.
