Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as a cleaner/maintainer of diverse commercial space.
• HS diploma or GED preferred; ability to read and write at HS level.
• Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of offices, kitchens, bathrooms, lobbies and common areas; sanitize surfaces.
• Clean and maintain glass, metalwork, baseboards; replenish supplies as needed.
• Floor care including sweeping, mopping, waxing and stripping; maintain all hard floors.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and handle janitorial chemicals per regulations.
• Remove garbage daily and manage recycling per NYC code; secure storage for pickup.
• Move furniture for cleaning and events; reconfigure spaces as required.
• Inspect and report fire safety equipment; assist with drills as needed.
• Perform basic grounds work and light repairs; assist trades staff as required.
