Job summary

The Jewish Board in New York is seeking a dedicated Porter to maintain cleanliness and safety across program facilities. You will perform daily cleaning, basic repairs, and coordinate with facilities staff to keep spaces ready for programs and events.

This role requires at least three years of cleaning experience, a HS diploma or GED preferred, and a valid driver's license. You will work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and must follow NYC/DOS codes and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience as a cleaner/maintainer of diverse commercial space.
• HS diploma or GED preferred; English proficiency at HS level.
• Driver's license required; ability to drive agency vehicles when authorized.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and sanitizing of offices, kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Maintain flooring through sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing.
• Operate cleaning equipment and store janitorial supplies.
• Perform light repairs and move furniture for events.
• Monitor fire safety equipment and assist with drills.
• Snow removal and outdoor/indoor grounds tasks as required.
