Job summary

Rhino Foods Inc is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain our warehouse facilities and equipment, ensuring safety, operation, and cleanliness. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement cost-effective maintenance solutions while upholding food safety and GMP standards.

In this role, you will conduct planned and reactive repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general mechanical systems, manage outside vendors, monitor inventory, and support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and fabrication.
• Experience driving a forklift is preferred.
• Ability to work as a respectful member within a collaborative team.
• Ability to anticipate and solve problems, make decisions, support others under pressure and know when to elevate more complex problems.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to utilize email, Microsoft applications, and other internal software for daily communication between facilities, shifts, and departments.

Responsibilities

• Execute all planned and reactive facility repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general mechanical maintenance.
• Safely operate maintenance tools and powered equipment and perform root-cause analysis on recurring issues.
• Manage outside vendor relationships for inspections, preventative tasks, and repairs.
• Maintain and audit all facility elements including doors, docks, racking, and cleanliness.
• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and ensure stock levels.
• Coordinate and fulfill office requests (furniture moves, event setup/teardown).
• Monitor and coordinate safety-related tasks and compliance with GMPs.
