Job summary

Coastal Ridge Real Estate in State College, PA seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep student housing communities well maintained and welcoming. This full-time, non-exempt role reports to the Property Manager and includes on-call rotation, unit turnovers, and exterior maintenance where applicable.

You will work with the maintenance team to meet move-in deadlines, follow OSHA safety policies, and use maintenance software and tools.

Qualifications

Basic English communication to interact with residents and team members.
Prior general maintenance experience (HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliances) preferred.
EPA Type I/II certification preferred; may be required in some locations.
Ability to follow instructions and safety policies.

Responsibilities

Handle resident service requests, including after-hours and emergencies.
Perform unit turnovers and move-in readiness to meet deadlines.
Maintain exterior and common areas for a clean, welcoming environment.
Conduct pool maintenance and ensure health and safety compliance where applicable.
Identify issues proactively and report hazards per OSHA guidelines.
Use tools and inventory properly; collaborate with the team to meet goals.
Maintain a professional appearance and participate in on-call rotation.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
