The City of New Ulm is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, upkeep, and minor repairs of public buildings and properties. You’ll support safe, functional environments, conduct inspections, operate equipment, and manage preventative maintenance and after-hours responses as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Minnesota driver’s license.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
• 2–5 years of building/facility maintenance experience.

Responsabilités

• Document inspections, maintenance, and replacements with digital work orders.
• Develop and update preventative maintenance schedules and templates.
• Maintain regulatory compliance records (e.g., elevator safety).
• Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers, alarms, HVAC filters, and related systems.
• Coordinate third-party vendors for maintenance tasks.
• Respond to fire alarms and ad hoc requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of tools and supplies.
