Emerald Nursing and Rehabilitation in Elizabethtown, PA is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to perform routine upkeep, minor repairs, and facility maintenance to keep resident spaces safe and comfortable.

You will assist with painting, groundskeeping, laundry, and day-to-day tasks, respond to maintenance emergencies, and help maintain safety and infection control. Experience in healthcare maintenance preferred; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; flexible schedule and stable environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, housekeeping, or laundry in a healthcare setting or long-term care is preferred
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and cleaning equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage time well
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and infection control
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
• Assist with painting, groundskeeping, and seasonal tasks
• Complete work orders promptly
• Clean common areas, resident rooms, and facility spaces
• Handle laundry duties: wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and clothing
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and order throughout the facility
• Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed
• Support a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff
