Job summary

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician III (S) in Bladen County. The role focuses on short-range planning for maintenance and repair across statewide facilities and VIPER network sites, with opportunities to perform skilled/semi-skilled maintenance tasks.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in related trades, plus EPA certification may be required.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the methods, practices, and materials used in the general maintenance and repair of buildings.
• Familiarity with supply and inventory control practices.
• Ability to supervise the work of unskilled workers and direct others.
• Ability to function independently in a maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Short range planning of the maintenance and repair of a building or group of buildings around the State and within VIPER network sites.
• Semi-skilled maintenance work.
• Work orders and priorities set by inspection and supervisor.
• Schedule work based on critical needs and funds.
• Handle day-to-day work orders and additional duties as assigned.
