Job summary

Mentor Technical Group seeks an experienced facilities maintenance planner to develop and manage work scopes for planned preventive maintenance across multiple crafts. You will work with craft supervisors, identify contract support, and ensure PMs meet compliance requirements.

Applicants should have 5–9 years in pharma/maintenance with strong CMMS knowledge and solid work management skills. Knowledge of OSHA, safety practices, and effective documentation is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • 5-9 years in facilities-maintenance within pharma/biotech/medical device/food & beverage/healthcare with cGMP knowledge.
  • Strong CMMS systems experience and related software.
  • Strong knowledge of work management processes, labor estimating and resource balancing.
  • Good knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and procedures.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Technical writing ability and clear documentation.
  • Familiarity with PO systems and requisitions.
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to business needs; obstacle overcoming ability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and communicate work scope for planned maintenance tasks involving multi-crafts.
  • Coordinate with craft supervisors to identify contract support as needed.
  • Ensure PMs are issued, tracked and completed per compliance requirements.
  • Identify vendor resources and delivery capabilities for parts and materials.
  • Maintain and publish planning and scheduling reports.
  • Perform resource leveling for maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain business processes related to the role.
  • Adhere to cGMPs and regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, EMEA, etc.).
  • Coordinate between maintenance groups and facility managers to ensure smooth ops.

Job description

  1. Develop and communicate work scope for planned corrective and preventative maintenance tasks that involve multi-crafts.
  2. Work with craft supervisors to identify contract support as needed to complete planned corrective and preventative maintenance tasks
  3. Responsible for job plan/Tasks accuracy new and modified in CMMS database (planned vs. actual for labor and materials)
  4. Identify vendor resources and delivery capabilities for parts and materials for planned corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.
  5. Ensure that PM’s are issued, tracked and completed per compliance requirements
  6. Develop, maintain and publish reports for planning and scheduling activities
  7. Performs resource leveling for maintenance activities
  8. Develop and maintain business processes related to job function.
  9. Adheres to all applicable procedures, cGMPs, company policies and any other quality or regulatory requirements. (For example: OSHA, DEA, FDA, EMEA, ANVISA, HS&E, etc.)
  10. Any other duties as required by the supervisor to support normal operations of the client site.

Accurate coordination between the various maintenance groups and facility supervisors/managers.

  1. Associate degree or equivalent from 2 year college technical school preferred
  2. In lieu of degree, Technical College diploma with 10+ years of experience required or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Experience in manufacturing or maintenance environment, required.

  1. 5-9 years of experience in the Facilities-maintenance related fields within the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, Food and Beverage, and Healthcare Industries with thorough working knowledge of cGMPs
  2. Strong knowledge of CMMS systems and related systems/software
  3. Strong knowledge of work management processes, labor estimating, resource balancing, etc
  4. Good working knowledge of facilities equipment and O&M requirements
  5. Strong understanding of proper OSHA safety practices and procedures
  6. Good organization skills
  7. Technical writing ability
  8. Strong oral and written communications skills
  9. Knowledge of the purchase order system and requisition procedures.
  10. Must be flexible and responsive to the needs of the business
  11. Must have the ability to overcome obstacles and have the organizational skills necessary to complete assignments in a timely manner.

Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem solving and to lead the resolution of equipment problems.
