Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in mechanical and/or electrical field (preferred).
• Seven or more years of related maintenance experience; equivalent combos considered.
• Significant experience in skilled trades, emergency preparedness, US military, or similar field desirable.
• Certified or able to become certified in First Aid/CPR (preferred).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance, repair, and reliable operation of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security).
• Oversee grounds maintenance to keep areas safe and functional.
• Support development of facilities budget, monitor expenditures, identify cost-efficiency opportunities.
• Coordinate external contractors and vendors, ensuring scope, schedule, quality, and budget compliance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement via Lean principles and adaptation to new technologies.
• Develop and maintain facility emergency response and preparedness plans, including drills and training.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local requirements and environmental practices.
• Establish and report KPIs on facility operations, maintenance, risks, and corrective actions.
• Lead maintenance personnel including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management.

Education

Associate’s degree in mechanical and/or electrical field

Seven or more years of related maintenance experience

First Aid/CPR certification

Military or similar field experience desirable
