Job summary

Achievers Early College Prep in New Jersey is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Manager to oversee operations at multiple sites. You will supervise boiler systems, coordinate vendors, maintain life safety, HVAC, electrical and plumbing, and ensure safety and cleanliness during school operations.

The role requires independent work, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage several tasks from inspections to daily maintenance, with occasional after-hours events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of facilities maintenance/operations experience at an industrial or commercial site or related experience
• Boiler Operator Certification is preferred or willingness to obtain a license within an acceptable amount of time after date of hire
• Be able to lift up to 30lbs

Responsibilities

• Oversee boilers at each site and maintain daily records
• Coordinate maintenance with outside vendors and inspect site work
• Maintain life safety, lighting, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems
• Open/close school safely and efficiently daily
• Attend after-hours events as assigned and support special events
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and facilities equipment
• Ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained during breaks
