GEO Corrections & Detentions in Texas seeks a Facility Maintenance Manager to maintain multiple facilities, manage projects, and supervise maintenance staff and, when needed, outside vendors. The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and compliance with building codes.

You will coordinate with the Corporate Project Development team, monitor BAS energy usage, and ensure timely completion of remodels while maintaining budgets. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Must have supervisory experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.
• Strong reading, writing, and basic math skills; ability to interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction/remodel programs with the Corporate Project Development team and ensure permits are obtained before projects start.
• Develop and maintain maintenance budgets and cost tracking; alert management if costs deviate.
• Review production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements to meet deadlines.
• Monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) and identify cost-effective energy-saving measures.
• Direct maintenance staff and interns; supervise outside vendors as needed; ensure safety regulations are followed.
