The Opportunity

The Facilities Specialist maintains restaurants through preventative maintenance on all aspects of the restaurant.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist the Facilities Manager by supervising facility aspects of restaurant management at the market level
  • Perform facility maintenance and repair through monthly site visits and analysis of restaurants
  • Formulate preventative maintenance schedules for safe, efficient, and effective operation of restaurant facilities, including cooking equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical circuits, and refrigeration units
  • Follow procedures in case facilities cease functioning or pose safety threats
  • Train staff on facility management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair; assess training needs
  • Ensure proper and consistent maintenance practices among staff
  • Conduct maintenance seminars individually or in groups
  • Provide maintenance visit recaps to the Operations Team and Regional Facility Manager
  • Identify issues leading to higher maintenance or reinvestment costs and communicate them to relevant managers
  • Guide restaurants on maintaining and updating facility records
  • Perform equipment and building repairs regularly and during emergencies
  • Conduct new store turnovers and inspections with contractors and teams
  • Serve as liaison with landlords, contractors, and vendors for repairs
  • Assist in investigating and escalating facilities issues
  • Represent facilities at management meetings and communicate updates
  • Support regional initiatives and communicate with development teams
  • Assist with contractor deficiency communication and follow all departmental guidelines
  • Perform other duties as needed
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, cooking equipment, appliances, and HVAC/refrigeration
  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple schedules and plan work efficiently
  • Effective communication and training skills
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record and responsible driving
  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience, with 2 years of relevant training or experience in facility repair and maintenance
Pay Transparency
