Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting for a Facility Maintenance Supervisor for a prominent sports and leisure complex in Randburg, Gauteng. The role oversees a maintenance team, schedules preventative maintenance, coordinates repairs, and ensures safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a relevant trade qualification or facility management diploma, 5+ years in facility maintenance, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or a diploma in Facility Management or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years in facility maintenance, with at least 2 in supervision.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and coordinating repairs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance team activities.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for facilities, equipment, and grounds.
• Diagnose and coordinate repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee inventory and manage external contractors to ensure quality and timely work.
• Conduct regular inspections and respond to maintenance requests and emergencies.
