YWCA USA is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to help keep our housing, office, and Early Learning Center safe, welcoming, and well‑functioning. This role supports our Permanent Supportive Housing properties and administrative spaces, with hands‑on daily maintenance and repairs.
You will inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing, lighting, doors, drywall, and other building systems, coordinate with vendors, and prepare units for new residents.
Do you take pride in creating safe, welcoming spaces where people can feel at home? Do you enjoy solving problems, fixing things, and making sure a building is cared for? The YWCA is looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Technician who values quality work, reliability, and the impact that a well-maintained space can have on people's lives.
This role supports our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) properties, administrative office, and Early Learning Center. Your work will help ensure residents, staff, children, and visitors have clean, safe, and functional spaces every day.
Previous maintenance, building operations, apartment maintenance, or facilities experience is preferred. Experience in affordable housing, supportive housing, property management, or nonprofit settings is a plus. Trade training or technical certifications are helpful but not required.
The most important qualities we are looking for are dependability, professionalism, respect for others, and pride in your work. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working indoors and outdoors.
If you enjoy being the person who helps keep things running smoothly and want your work to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
