Job summary

Meraki Gardens is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Lead to own preventative maintenance, repairs, equipment performance, and facility improvement projects at our indoor cultivation facility. This role is not a desk job; you will diagnose problems, perform repairs, and lead projects end-to-end.

The candidate must be organized, self-directed, and able to structure their own day and week, handling preventive maintenance, testing, inventory, and coordination with vendors.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, self-directed facilities maintenance leadership.
• Able to structure own day and week without a fixed task list.
• Experience with HVAC, dehumidification, pumps, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, irrigation systems, and building maintenance.
• Controlled‑environment agriculture, greenhouses, warehouses, or manufacturing facilities experience preferred.
• Cannabis experience not required; strong maintenance/troubleshooting skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a preventative-maintenance schedule for facility equipment.
• Perform inspections and performance checks on equipment and systems.
• Diagnose equipment operating sub-optimally and implement fixes.
• Repair or replace lights, fans, pumps and other facility equipment.
• Monitor dehumidification equipment and HVAC performance.
• Lead larger projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate parts, inventory, and vendor activity; work with contractors as needed.
• Support harvest operations 3–5 days per month.
• Respond to facility emergencies when needed.
