Qualifications

• ≥2 years in industrial maintenance, facilities management, or similar technical settings.
• Hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, and water-based heating/cooling systems.
• Experience leading maintenance technicians and facilities personnel.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a five-person maintenance team (3 technicians, 2 custodians) and supervise daily operations.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, chillers, and hydronic systems to ensure safe operation.
• Oversee climate-control systems (Priva, BioTherm) and optimize uptime.
• Utilize Fiix CMMS for work orders, inventory, and maintenance planning.
• Coordinate with cultivation/operations teams and manage outside contractors.

Job description

A well-established, growing multi-state cannabis operator in Monroe, LA is seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead maintenance and facility operations within a 150,000 sq. ft. sealed greenhouse featuring approximately 70,000 sq. ft. of flowering canopy. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing a team of five employees, including three maintenance technicians and two custodians, while ensuring the facility's mechanical systems, equipment, and infrastructure operate safely and efficiently. The facility utilizes water-based heating and cooling systems, including boilers, chillers, and hydronic infrastructure, along with Priva environmental controls and Fiix maintenance management software. The ideal candidate brings strong industrial or greenhouse maintenance experience, proven leadership abilities, and the technical expertise to troubleshoot complex mechanical systems while developing a high-performing maintenance department. The company is continuing to expand, offering significant long-term growth opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of five employees, including three maintenance technicians and two custodians, overseeing daily maintenance operations within a 150,000 sq. ft. sealed greenhouse.Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, hydronic piping, pumps, and water-based heating and cooling infrastructure
• Oversee greenhouse climate-control systems, including Priva environmental controls and BioTherm heating and cooling equipment, ensuring optimal operating conditions and minimal downtime
• Utilize Fiix CMMS to manage preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment inventory, reporting, and maintenance planning
• Recruit, train, and develop maintenance employees while maintaining a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, repairs, safety, and team accountability
• Partner with cultivation and operations teams, coordinate outside contractors, and support facility improvements, equipment installations, and future expansion projects

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, facilities management, commercial greenhouse operations, food manufacturing, or a similar technical environment preferred
• Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting boilers, chillers, and water-based heating and cooling systems required
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing maintenance technicians, mechanical teams, or facilities personnel, with a willingness to remain hands-on
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills involving pumps, piping, motors, electrical equipment, and other industrial mechanical systems
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS software; familiarity with Fiix, Priva, BioTherm, or similar environmental control systems is a plus
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage maintenance priorities in a continuously operating facility. Cannabis experience is not required
