Job summary

Augusta Richmond County is seeking a hands-on Facilities Supervisor to oversee installation, maintenance and repair work on county buildings and grounds. You will plan, assign and monitor work orders, manage resources and safety compliance, and coordinate with staff, vendors and inspectors to ensure timely, quality results.

The role requires a high school diploma (associates preferred), five years of maintenance and supervisory experience, and the ability to lead diverse trades.

Qualifications

• Five years of maintenance work with increasing responsibility or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance.
• Ability to supervise employees and manage vendors.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, prioritizes and assigns work; prepares forms and reports; coordinates with supervisor and staff.
• Supervises maintenance projects; plans resources; monitors progress and meets deadlines.
• Inspects work for safety and quality; coordinates with staff, vendors and inspectors.
• Directs staff performance, addresses concerns and conducts evaluations.
• Ensures safety procedures and proper storage of chemicals and equipment.
• Conducts maintenance inspections and initiates necessary repairs.
